A Wet November?

By Paul Homewood

After all the hype about Storm Brett, a month’s worth of rain in 36 hours and so on, it turns out November as a whole was much drier than average.

As for the nonsense about “a warmer atmosphere holds more moisture”, temperatures in November were bang on average.

Maybe the “warmer atmosphere” propagandists would like to explain why it was so wet in 1929 and 1852, the two wettest Novembers on record?

DESNZ Admit Heat Pumps Are Not Cheaper To Run

By Paul Homewood

h/t Joe Public

DESNZ are wanting to introduce new product standards for space heating, designed to improve energy efficiency.

The proposals apply to gas boilers and heat pumps, but will make very little difference in reality.

But the interesting paragraph concerned heat pumps:

.

For years we have been fed the lie that heat pumps are cheaper to run. Finally though they admit that at best costs are similar to a gas boiler, and often higher.

The California offshore wind environmental impact statement is full of holes

It studiously specifically avoids those issues that lead one to conclude that building these turbines is a bad idea.

METHANE – THE IRRELEVANT GREENHOUSE GAS

In this lecture Dr Sheahen focuses on the work of Professors Will Happer and William van Wijngaarden in their pioneering work in calculating the real-world Global Warming Potentials (GWPs) of the five most common Green-House Gases (GHGs). He emphasizes how their calculations have now been precisely verified by satellite measurements, thus validating their research. These results verify the actual low GWPs of these GHGs, and, in particular, of the irrelevancy of the impact of Methane on climate. The results have profound implications, particularly for agriculturally based economies like those of Ireland and New Zealand.
