Ray Sanders has sent me this recent photo of the Class 5 junk site at St James Park in London.
Purely by coincidence, of course, this thermometer surrounded by wind breaks and heat emitting diesel generators just happened to post the highest temperature in the country on Sonday!
This must be what the Met Office refer to as “world-leading science”!
You could not make it up, but the Met Office can!

X poster John Dodders has kindly granted me permission to use this image of the St James’s Park weather station as it currently looks. Portacabin, hoarding and attendant generator as we all expect from such “record” braking locations.
May I ask as many people as possible to take images of the site from all and any possible angles and forward them to me either at ray.m.sanders1956@gmail.com or via the comments section or even my X profile as shown above.
I suspect a “record” may be attributed to this site either today or very soon when quite clearly it is totally unsatisfactory. The latest from weatherobs below showing 28°C smack in the middle of London St James’s Park.
